True for the street cars - Not the 67 winners, though. Those were  total 
racecars (Mark IV) and not adapted from any of the Street models.  They were built 
in Detroit at Kar Kraft. That's how they ended up with Corvair  Tallights. By 
the way - All the race cars are pretty Global. The C6 Corvettes  that went 
one-two at the LeMans 24 hour race have British-built Hewland  tranaxles, German 
BBS wheels, French Michelin tires, some Bosch FI stuff,  as I recall, and 
drivers from all over.
