True.  I saw the most amazing case of ignorance on the subject on the 
news.  A newscaster/pundit objecting to using Ethanol said that it would 
actually cause us to use MORE oil because the energy is less and the 
resulting loss of mpg would mean we would use more foreign oil ... what a 
moron.  We might use more total FUEL ... but since at least some of it is 
Ethanol, we would still be using less foreign OIL.
