Hey Chuck and all,
The drive on highway 87 from Phoenix to Payson is one of the best
drives ever. Drive that way every time we go to California. Even
better in a Corvair. Especially coming down the hill late at night with
sticking throttle linkage, isnt that right Del? ;)

>A funeral in Payson last March meant flying into Phoenix and driving (in ONLY 90 miles) NE through four climate zones, including desert, pine forest, high plains and mountains. I saw a place where two distinctly different sets of vegetation grew on the sunny and shady sides of the same valley. I saw snow a couple miles from rattlers and horny toads. Si
