Hello again, Group; I remember tracking down a "very 
early" '60 that was out in California and was still owned 
by the original owner. Not sure if the one that Ralph 
mentions is the same one - but in that case it was 
determined that the car in question was produced at the 
Oakland assembly plant. Since Oakland started production 
months after Willow Run was chugging along, a low serial 
number car from there would not qualify as the earliest of 
earlies. Only the Willow Run early production had the 
cutouts in the lower front shroud for the horns. Ed is 
right about the painted rocker step plates and is also 
correct that '60's are cool and therefore really early 
'60's are even cooler. IMHO. - Caveman Pete
