In a commentary on the Speed TV site, concerning the career of John 
DeLorean, by Rich Conklin:

"...The [GM] Tech Center was a temple of the halcyon days, when Harley Earl 
and Bill Mitchell and Zora Arkus-Duntov and Pete Estes had GM running on 
all cylinders. In the 1960s, the entire line of GM cars – Corvair included 
– was absolutely right for the times, perfectly expressive of the cultural 
sensibilities of America in that decade. Just about everything GM made 
looked young, fast and cool.  ..."
