Funny this discussion! On Thursday last week I sent the following email to
Overhaulin....

I would like to see Chip take an early model corvair and turn it into a
modern day version of the XP-785 Super Spyder. This would be a really cool
looking car!

I also included an attached picture of the XP-785. If I get a response that
they want to do this then I will need a '63 Convertible in California for
purchase and ooops it gets stollen during shipping....

We were discussing this on the weekend, and we figure the odds of getting a
'vair on Overhaulin' are pretty slim as many of the show's usual sponsors
don't have parts to provide for the rebuild. Although it would make good
business sense (to me anyway) for one of our major vendors to be the parts
supplier on something with such massive exposure.

The best senario we came up with to get on Overhaulin' would be one of the
Cali based chapters to nominate a young deserving member that has a solid
'vair that needs an overhaul but can't afford it.

Regards,
Joel

I for one, vote for getting a Vair on Mr. Foose's show - Overhauling.

When he designs a make over, it is recognizable as a Foose project; more
importantly, you recognize the make of the car.
