Hi Les,

I would imagine, even though I've never owned a late, that the shaft mounts
from the inside just like the early.  There are three machine bolts holding
each of the shafts to the body via weld nuts.  As I remember, there is some
play in the bolt holes on the shaft housing, allowing the shaft to be moved
around a little before tightening.  That would be my guess at the solution.
