<VV> re;pan gasket

Dennis,the thick paper gasket (used?) will seal,if you don't see any tear-thru's;;get a tube of rtv for doing the newer engines that don't use gaskets,run 2 1/8" lines around both sides of the gasket, circling the bolt holes,and 'glue'it on...the stripped bolt--replace it with a stud.cut off a long bolt if need be and locktite it in before the pan goes on...make sure the pan is straight and both surfaces are kept oil-free,preferably till full-cured;;brake-kleen the the pan bolts and a touch of rtv on the threads will keep them from backing out...Tom
