I've always thought that earlies looked old when they were new (maybe 
"classic" is a better word ?), and that the LM looks new when it's old.

I think the late model, especially convertibles, fit right in with new 
models, even forty (40 !) years later !

Only the chrome dates them ! There's a late coupe in the Inland Empire club 
that has the chrome painted to match the body color (light blue), and "she" 
looks new !
