The Iowa Corvair Enthusiasts are excited to anounce the acquisition of the
ultimate valve cover racing track. Just what is it? It is a fantastically
engineered and handcrafted computerized valve cover race track. Operated
by an analog computer this track has the traditional drag racing christmas
tree, computerized displays of reaction and elapsed times, electrically
operated release doors that allows each individual participant to
demonstrate their reaction time, a special cushioned catch bumper at the
end of the track, and, to top it off, it is personally autographed by Big
Daddy Don Garlits. This track is truly awesome. So, whether you are a
veteran valve cover racer or a first timer, come to Iowa and test your
skill. This track raises the bar. No longer will the outcome be
determined by who can build the best car.

Photos of the track will be posted on the Iowa Corvair Enthusiasts
website. The track will be assembled in advance of the actual scheduled
competition for examination. There will also be a scheduled practice time
to familiarize participants with the track's operation. Time permitting,
loaner racers will be constructed for those wanting to race, but not having
a car. So, come join us in Cedar Rapids the week of June 27th for what
will surely be a fun and exciting event.
