<VV> Electronic fuel shut-off valve for Corvair-pwoered VW

Hi Bill,
How about another idea/approach?

I REALLY like the metal ball and socket carb inlet valves for our Corvair carbs. They are available from David at The Source as well as Grant Young in FLA, and possibly Clark's. Since these have a much more positive metal-to-metal seal, I suspect they will work fine even without a protection valve. They also have a larger oriface and flow more fuel/minute and a fairly narrow open to closed range, so the fuel level should stay closer to ideal.

I have been purchasing them most recently from Grant and I think the price might be a little less from him. BTW, he also has carb inlet filters in cleanable stainless steel.
