Along the way I acquired a spare LM HV carb but am having a problem. The
carb apparently sat somewhere long enough to develop a bad case of the
whites inside. Have been able to almost completely disassemble (even got
the PE needle out) but the Pump Discharge Needle (#11 in fig. 21 page
6M-10, 65 Service Manual) refuses to budge.

Have been soaking alternately with WD-40 and DeOxIt for about a week now
but no movement yet. Anyone have a suggestion on how to get it out ? Am
considering filing a slot and attempting to turn with a screwdriver.

Soak in container of WD-40 and stick the whole thing in an ultrasonic
cleaner. Did that for a flute key section that was gummed up and binding.
The alternative was pressing out the pins and disassembling. Worked great.
