my guess without hearing it...ring gear rust pattern? or bearing on pinin at highest point (out of the oil bath when setting) after driving it a ways , check the differential oil for color of rust. just a guess.. i have taken differentials apart that had heavy rust on the ring gear at highest point, from being dry so long. regards, tim colson
