<VV> strange noise from my Corsa rear end

Another VV'er emailed me offlist and mentioned that he had precisely the same problem I'm having.  I may just swap out the transaxle, which is a shame since the drivetrain is orignal to my Corsa.

(For the record, I installed brand new radial tires)
