Stephen,
Not to sound pessimistic but I advise taking those parts to a machine shop 
and having them checked with a mic and a telescoping gauge (or borrow 
one).  Usually shops 
size the bore to the piston or so to get the correct clearance, or mix 
and match based off of measurements of each jug and piston.  I would 
not necessarily trust a flat 
feeler gauge 
being pressed into the bore like that, on pistons and cylinders from 
different sources.
