Many previous posts are talking about .002 clearance on Corvair pistons. Maybe I'm too "race" oriented but that sounds too tight to me. Since Corvairs run twice as hot as waterpumpers and aluminum expands alot more than iron barrels, I think .005-.007 clearance would be more appropriate. Any comments from the engine gurus here?
