What is it about Corvairs in Europe that makes them look so, uh, at home?

Just finished looking at the pix of the Swiss Corvair Club meeting near Davos. Maybe it's the background or the fact that the Corvarians keep their cars so pristine, but somehow to my eye those Swiss Corvairs just seem to belong. And those nifty ziggity-zaggy emblems on both the cars and the shirts...where can I get one of those?

Not that Corvairs in the U.S. look 'funny,' but here in Florida where we have a proponderence of Bubba Trucks -- loud, growly things with big knobby tires -- our Corvairs do look 'different.' Maybe I've been out in the sun too long.

I just think it's neat that our marque has attracted such a loyal following overseas and, yes, I know that Corvairs were built and sold in Europe in their heyday.

I think I know how it must feel to have a Corvair in Switzerland, having once had the mad idea of driving a Fiat 600 from Pennsylvania to California. It made it to Clinton, Iowa and there it stayed.
