Cool Air is blowing in the mail once again, and this time, the feature
article is all about a simple piece of metal that's supposed to brace the
(cut) dashboard of every late model Corvair with stock GM air conditioning.
As it says in a particularly ringing passage, " The experience of getting
the brace and installing it led me to write this article, both to fully
explain how to install it, and to enable the reader to fabricate his own
brace in those cases where low cost, immediate availability, and full
functionality trump the desire for invisible authenticity."
It's free and automatic for every member of Air 'Vair, the CORSA
chapter for air-conditioned Corvairs AND the sponsor of this group. The
privileges of membership will set you back all of $5 a year. If you're not
receiving Cool Air, send $5 with your name and address to Mark Corbin,
President; Air 'Vair; 5474 SR 19; Galion, OH 44833 USA. CORSA membership is
required, of course.
