1 Engine Warmed up.......Fresh Plugs......WOT  to a very high rpm [ 1st gear 
is OK]....immediately shut off engine / neutral ........read the plugs....

They  [ racers ] still do it today...even NASCAR....with all their $$$  
.....ever see the car bonzai the track and shut off engine..coast to pits....but 
nothing is reported as being wrong?
