Since it's a '69, better to tap the switch for the e-brake light to 
power the trunk latch solenoid.   Only way the trunk could be opened 
would be if the e-brake was on and the key was in the switch.   Or, 
add another separate e-brake switch to independently power the trunk 
lid latch solenoid.   And even then, a safety latch would still be 
easy to install, snatch an appropriate one off the hood of a junkyard 
car and retrofit the Vair trunk lid, shouldn't be hard... then you'd 
be able to hook your head on it and yank off a hank of hair on the 
safety latch just like other cars of the '60s when you snag your head 
on the "hood latch".
