Only 65-66 - In 1967-69 the ID plates were moved per Federal law to the  
drivers side Windshield, under the glass, in front of the padded dash, just  above 
the stainless trim. This assumes it really is a 67. If it is a 65, it  should 
still be in the engine compartment, as you mentioned. Kevin - You are  
looking at the Fisher Body Trim plate. There is a complete stamped in VIN  number 
behind one side of the front suspension - stamped into the frame  rail - At 
least there was at the factory. (!!!)  To read it, or have  the verifier read it, 
you will have to jack up the car, remove the front  wheels pull at least the 
six front crossmember bolts, and maybe a few other  items, and lower the 
crossmember down so the verifier can see the stamped in  VIN. I sure hope it agrees 
with what your Bill of Sale reads!  - Seth  Emerson
