I've thought about this conversion myself, but after reading this thread, me 
thinks that it ain't such a hardship to get out of the car, and open the 
trunk with key like the general intended :o). After all, I have to get out 
of the car to get into the trunk, so I might as well just open it with the 
key while I am there.
