lift up and hold the arm just above the bend point.  with other hand wiggle 
(rock?) the base portion with an overall upward pressure.  can use a flat 
blade screw driver under the lip of the base directly opposite of the arm 
(blade) portion for some leverage.  should just pull up and off.

Attachments (if any) are scanned with anti-virus software.
