Corvair oil coolers can be stacked for better cooling whether you use  folded 
fin or the late coolers. Dan Brizendine the Tech Editor for the Circle  City 
Corvair Club has two eight plate coolers neatly installed on his 140 engine  
for his Greenbrier.
 
Some modification is necessary to the cooler sandwiched next to the engine  
and of course shroud modifications are necessary. I plan to do this to my   67 
AC four door Corvair
