Our new 68 500 had the new linkage. I learned about cars fast because local Chevy dealer did nothing about after sales service. It too me months so sort out the many problems, including its 140 linkage being completely maladjusted. I never bought a new car after that. At least used ones are known to be running. ron 65,66
