Ryan,

It's been a while since I've done it, but the only brake part I remember 
ever taking off on any car to grease the front bearings is the drum.

Yes, you need new grease seals. They don't cost much and are easy to 
replace. They don't fit real tight and are easy to get out with a little 
prying. It doesn't matter if you destroy them getting them out, as long as 
you don't hurt the rest of the hub. You can tap in the new ones with a 
rubber hammer or just the handle of a hammer.
