Q #1. Does anyone know how to open the front trunk (late model) if the key
is lost. I read somewhere that removing the headlights creates an access.

A #1. Yes, you can open EM and LM trunks without a key by 1) removing the headlight bezel then 2) the bucket (without removing the headlights). Leftside or rightside is a matter of preference. Although I'm left-handed (so I'm always in my right mind) I prefer to enter through the right side as you face the car.

Then you'll have a sizable access hole that you can reach in and by pushing (or pulling depending on the above...) on the latch lever to open the trunk without damaging the lock mechanism. You may need to put a little pressure on the deck lid over the lock mechanism to help make it open easier.

Good thing it's not an FC because you'd be SOL.

Q #2. Also, does the camaro spoiler fit? if so, what year?

A #2. Yes, the front Camero spoiler will nicely fit the front of a LM Corvair. The correct spoilers can be bought at Corvair Underground and Clark's Corvair Parts. Support your Corvair vendors so they can profitably stay in business and afford to offer best prices and roll out new repro products.

  Hope this helps.
