its not the shift cable its the TV lever....the small o ring is neoprene.....replace it with a slightly fatter o ring from the local harware or plumbing supply....clarks does not offer a viton version....years of wear on the shaft and hole cause this....or it could be bent slightly....either waya ever so slighly fatter o ring is the only real solution.....dont go screwing with your shift cable....its a myth spread by people that dont understand the airflow and movement of oil under a corvair
