Motor Mounts was: RE: <VV> Jacking

Would a failed rear motor mount on an Early cause the axles to rub in the
A-arms?

The rear motor mount is NOT under compression. If you undo it, the engine
DROPS.
I once made the mistake of jacking the car with a board across the oil pan.
The two rear engine mount bolts sheared. It was a VERY difficult repair with
the engine in place.
