<VV> EM rear end swap

Can anyone lead me to any articles with a good discussion of what is involved in putting a 64 or later rear suspension in a 62 Spyder?  I have read ads for cars with such, but I have no idea what is involved.  I will be dropping my drive train soon to rebuild/clean up and figured I would redo the suspension at the same time.  Any reason not to "upgrade" to the later suspension?
