<VV> Gas Tank Strap Bolt Question

While removing the gas tank on my 69 Monza to have it cleaned, I had one of  
the 5-6 inch long threaded rods that the strap bolts to twist off and break 
due  to a rusted nut.  This rod is curved on the non-threaded end to hook onto  
the car "frame" to hold the tank in.  Does anyone know an outlet for these  
rods other than our friendly Corvair vendors?  Was wondering if any of the  
modern parts houses would have something similar.  I want to get the tank  back in 
and running, but being the holiday season, I would probably have to wait  a 
week or more to get one from Lon/Clarks/etc.   I also twisted off  two of the 
bolts holding on the stabilizer bar, but those are just normal bolts  and I can 
get them anywhere.  Thanks for any advise.
