<VV> Ring and Pinion Wear

I have a differential apart from a friends powerglide.  It lost one of the 
seals that keeps PG fluid out of the differential from age.  It was caught 
before it went to 
far, but it started to wear a touch on the R$P.  Just visible, I can 
barely barely feel a bit of roughness on the contact pattern.  Question 
is, is it still useable, or do I need to find a new R$P.
