<VV> Which Direction Bellows Swivel? Shop Manual Confusion!!

Dan, Thanks for pointing out that page. I missed it on my first perusal.

In reality (what I do), I always put the clip on top. Whichever way the pin
is pointing, I've never paid a lot of attention to it. It ends up pointing
the way it needs to point in order to get the clip on. So, wherever it
points with the clip on top is where I set it.

Frankly, I doubt that it makes any difference (concerning wear and tear on
the bellows - which was the question) just which way the pin is pointing.
Would even have less effect on an EM with longer rod than on LM (bellows
closer to the door), I would also surmise. The door hinges are not all that
precise to begin with and there is certainly room for the door itself to
move side to side an amount which would (or could) compensate for which way
the pin is pointed. Understand this to be opinion and not gospel. In other
words, why worry about it?

Attachments (if any) are scanned with anti-virus software.

Later, JR
