<VV> Strange power loss problem

I'm suprised nobody has suggested a fuel line problem.

You could have a small leak in one of the rubber lines, sucking air.

Or, you could have a kink somewhere. A few years ago I had accidentally
bent the metal tube that goes over the rear axle on my '65 (OK, so I forgot
to disconnect it and dropped the engine). I sort of bent it back into
shape, but it made the rubber piece between it and the metal line into the
engine compartment want to take on a "Z" shape. When it got hot, the "Z"
would stop the flow. When it cooled down, it would go back to "normal".
The symptoms were that the longer I drove it, the less power I could
produce. First I couldn't accelerate, then I couldn't maintain highway
speed. Acted like a fuel pump problem.

Roger
