I am planning to remove the transaxle from my parts car and was wondering
how to keep the rear suspension somewhat in place on a late corvair somewhat
so it can be moved back out of my garage. I know I had read on vv about
someone having fabricated something to do this but didn't save the info and
couldn't find it in a archive search. Thanks for your assistance.

I remove the rear shocks too, then drill two holes in a 4x4 the same size as the lower bolt for the shocks the 4x4 the same length as the distance across the rear of the car with the short shafts in. I narrow the ends of the 4x4 to make them fit exactly into the opening for the shock bolt. I also brace the 4x4 to the rear mount with a metal bar. finished tool would look like the letter "t"
