I have done this many times. If you just drilled the end of the rivet to 
release the floor, then the shaft is just below the floor pan. I put a drop 
of JB Weld or other epoxy in the depression where the rivet head was. This 
attaches to the rivet shaft and makes a puddle in the depression.
