<VV> Follow up to tranny seal

Dan Kling put me onto something.  He suggested the leak could also be
between the seal and the bore in the transmission case.  Turns out, he was
right.  I cleaned the area this morning and watched carefully to see where
the oil was coming from.  It was seeping out between the seal and the case.
When I removed the seal, I noticed right away, a scratch (gouge) in the
steel portion of the seal.  I could see the corresponding culprit in the
case.  It looks like there might have been some crud or corrosion on the
seal when I inserted it in the case and it was sufficient to cause the
gouge.  I guess I should have paid more attention to the seal, even though
it was new.
