<VV> right turn signal not working

These kinds of gremlins are usually a poor ground SOMEWHERE in the system -
usually either at the bulb or at the dash. Check that the grounding strap
on the (backside - about 2 inches left of the steering column) LM dash is
clean and firmly attached with a clean screw. If that does not solve it,
check the grounding at the bulb end - could be rusty OR recent body work
(paint?).

Also, the little clips on the stock light sockets don't always make great
contact with the body - try twisting the socket a few times (left - right)
in the body hole where it (they) reside. Generally speaking, if the rear
signal does not light neither does the brake light on that side since it is
the same filament in the bulb. THAT would be a strong indicator that there
is a poor ground at the bulb end.

I suppose it could be the indicator bulb - never had that one happen. They
(both) just plug into the back of the dash and there is a cardboard tube
which directs the light to the green lens just behind the arrows on the
front of the dash.

Since you did not indicate a "flash" on either L or R, perhaps it is the
flasher, itself. Got another car you can swap one from to test that
possibility?

Subject: <VV> right turn signal not working

on my 65 corsa the right turn signal suddenly stop working.I have been doing
some checking to solve the problem but can't seem to find the
problem.Replaced the bulb with known good one, have 12.5v at flasher when
either side is put on by directional lever.Have 3.5v at right socket, have
11.5v at left socket.Left side lights but does not flash both front and
rear, right only rear light works.Left indictor on dash stays on(no flash)
right does not light. If the indicator light was burned out would that cause
the problem that I am having.I think I have remove the dash face to get at
the indicator bulb.I'll look it up to be sure.Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

thank you
Robert guerin
