DUNE  buggy.....ONLY runs in SAND......soft sand....no dirt...no rocks.....no 
pavement!

My sandcar built in 1977  has the normal rotation Vair engine with the 
adapter bellhousing  / VW  clutch assembly [ 180mm].

It runs on 15 x 31"  paddletires [ 8  paddles 2.5" tall each].

Normal  Weekend consists of approx. 100 miles of running around on the sand 
dunes [ 5 mile x 20 mile area ] and approx. 20 -30  Blasts up sanddunes that 
are angled at 55 deg.  and 400 -800 ft tall...

This car saw action  8-12 times per year until 3 years ago...

NOTHING has broken except 1 input shaft ONCE!
