Depends on which chrome coil it is. If it is a Flamethrower II then no 
problem. If something else then it will depend on whether a straight 12v or 
requires a resistor (should be on a tag on the coil). Next case is there a 
manufacturer and part number on it ? Last chance, measure the resistance of 
the primary circuit of the coil with a DVM - will be less than 6 ohms.
