Terry mentioned that some cars are cursed, my ex '69 140/4/Posi/mpx vert was such a car
1) Hit by airplane (taildragger in airport - they can't see where they're going unless they zig zag.)
2) Hit by tree while the car was parked (Tree split in two on a windless day)
3) Hit while parked 1/2 off the side-edge of a two car driveway by a small Toyota car backing out the opposite side of the driveway (easy 10' clearance, driveway no more than 20' long.)
4) Painted wrong color by body shop #1 (Isn't Aztec gold the same as Olympic gold??? No?)
5) New pressure plate built wrong - wouldn't hold in high gear (Out comes the powertrain - again)
6) Stuck in body shop #2 for a year while the BS owner was in/out of jail twice
7) And for the subsequent owner, it disappeared into a zillion pieces while in a body shop #3 in CA. BS went out of business while the car was disassembled. Pieces just must have walked away and said "Enough!".

Three times in body shops for major jobs and always was a nice, carefully kept car - body shops were all disasters. (along with trees and airplanes).
