Anil, the bulb socket could be crushed a bit, or you could be inserting the bulb
wrong; the little stop pin is further down on one side than the other.  Also, I
always dip the bulb contacts in lithium grease and wipe the sides with the
stuff before putting it in so that the connection stays moisture free.  This
also increases the odds that the bulb will come out easily later.
