Might be cool if one of their "fly ins" could be timed and located at/near
one of our conventions. I tried to make an arrangement like that for 2001 -
with an airport right next door. I just was not able to bring it together
for that one. But, I'd still like to see it happen sometime.

Subject: <VV> A Special Corvair Event

Hey all,
I got this email from Kip. If anyone is interested, let me know and I will
send the flyer under separate email. I think this is a great opportunity
for the Corvair World. I do know that William Wynne has been actively
recruiting these pilots to purchase Corvairs and join CORSA.
If you've never been to a Corvair Fly-In, you are in for a REAL treat.
Sarah

Hello Sarah,

William Wynne said I should get in touch with you. I am the past president
and current event coordinator for Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA)
Chapter 82 in Alliance, OH. Over the past 5 years, I have worked with
William to organize a couple of Corvair aviation events at our clubhouse at
Barber Airport in Alliance. Personally, I am converting an engine per
William's plans to install in a Pietenpol AirCamper.

This year, we are trying something new, a Fly-In dedicated to the use of
Corvair engines in aircraft applications. The dates are June 2-4.

To help round out the event, and make it a more comprehensive look at
Corvairs, we would like to extend an invitation to any Corvair owners or
CORSA Chapters that would like to join us for the weekend. We will provide
a prominent, safe display area vehicles, and would hope that some of your
folks would be interested in coming out.

William has agreed to be there to do a couple of forums on his conversion
package, and if you have some experts in CORSA who would like to present
forums on Corvair automobiles, we can make a venue available for that.

I would appreciate any help you can provide to get the word out to your
membership and encourage them to come to this event.

We anticipate a very fun weekend, and hope that having a CORSA presence
will add to the enjoyment of the event.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me (330-265-5992) or
e-mail as convenient. I am attaching a copy of the flyer for the event,
which you may distribute as you see fit.

Thanks very much!
