<VV> Old Anyone (was: Old Racers), with Corvair

I'm working these days at an auto body shop -- modern collision repair although at the moment we have two customer Corvairs here and we use the shop owner's Rampside as a yard truck.

Yesterday, one of the 20-something techs tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I could drive a Corvair.  It was parked in one of the bays and he needed to move the Infiniti that was blocked by the Corvair.

"Mike," I said, "it's a car, like every other car.  Just drive it."

No, he really didn't want to drive it.  Too strange.

"Mike, you don't need to set the spark or use the hand crank, just drive it."

Naturally, he didn't understand the references.

So I drove the car.  Good thing.  No brakes!!!  Mike wouldn't have known where the emergency brake was...
