Subject: RE <VV> Stupidology & Vair Content
...On the last page of the book there's a column headlined Stupidology
...chronicles some stupid auto tricks of the past, like turning off the
ignition whilst descending a hill, only to turn it back on and blow the
muffler off with the collected fuel in the exhaust system (been there, done
that, liked the sound).

Our favorite in Brownwood, TX in the 50's was to get up a good head of steam
and decend in 2nd gear into the underpass under the railroad tracks then
turn the key back on just before leaving the underpass. The goal was not
only to hear a great sound but to also attempt to blow the tracks off their
mount above us. Were never successful with the tracks goal.
