   I assume by now someone has gotten to you about the Corvair / Pebble Beach story. It was the traditional April Fools column but it did fool a LOT of people. 
   
   Also, in the column was a bit of foolery about the National Convention in Buffalo, NY this year and shutting off Niagara Falls etc.
   
   I don't expect a retraction, but a correction might keep someone from preparing for Pebble Beach. On the Corvair Web site, Virtual Vairs, (VV) it was kicked around to death.
