The unions (at least the UAW-CIO) were pushed by Walter Reuther, a man who  
was an avowed Socialist and who spent years in the '30s in the Soviet Union  
learning how to effectively push Soviet propaganda to American workers without  
openly being a Communist.
Is it any wonder that the unions are anti-business.  My dad was an  officer 
in the UAW union at Dodge Main and I read the union newsletter  which told the 
workers how to sabotage the cars they were  assembling
