I did many stupid things driving as a teen.  My parents blamed me, not
the cars. I'm thankful now that my behavior hurt nothing more than sheet
metal and a few mailbox pillars.

We ALL did stupid stuff as teens.  Were our parent's to blame?  I
suspect - 
not in most cases.  So, we survived those years, some we knew at the
time 
did not.
