Unless there was an engine I don't know about, the CPF has a copper cooled
engine attached to a generator, called a Delco Light. It is sitting in Pete
Cimbala's garage as Jack Miller didn't want it in the museum. The museum's
name is Ypsilanti Auto Heritage Museum and if it wasn't built in Ypsi, it
wasn't wanted. The generator is actually on loan and we have talked about
giving it back to the donator. I think Pete would appreciate the garage
space for his own use.
Chevy guru Pinky Randall had a copper cooled engine and several Corvairs but
I think he donated the engine and, for sure, his 1969 Corvair convertible to
the GM Heritage Museum. We will be visiting the GM museum at the 2007 CORSA
convention. While your car is on display at the concours/people's choice
show at the GM Tech Center, we will have a bus taking people to the museum
and the host hotel. It will make a loop every hour or so to get you back to
your car.
I highly suggest everyone enters the people's choice show next year so you
will have more time to visit the GM museum and it will be less work for the
judges!!! :-) 8^)
