The exhaust tubes are a press fit into the head. You can remove them 
with "Visegrips" (only use the name brand ones, the knock offs don't 
work well) and a hammer. IIRC there is a push rod tube in the way, but 
if enough stuff is removed it can be done with the engine in the car. 
Drive the replacement tube in with a hammer and a block of wood. Make 
sure the depression on the side in in the correct direction.

Hammer: 8 oz ball pein, typically with the handle sawed off to 8-9". NOT 
a 16 oz framing hammer!
